In addition to offering smart devices to automate homes, IoT provides businesses with a real-time look into how their systems really work, delivering insights into everything from the performance of machines to supply chain and logistics operations.

Dr. Anurag Sharma, Professor, GNA University was the resource person at this occasion.  He briefly explained how a network of connected physical devices uses sensors and Application Programming Interface (API) to exchange data over network.  Students learnt the fundamental concepts of cloud computing, wireless interfaces for data transfer & potential of IOT in real time applications. He demonstrated the technical steps involved in an IoT based project using an open source software and hardware development environment i.e. Node-MCU.
Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director Science City present at the occasion said that IoT deployment will continue to grow in future as decision making can be automated and it enables speedier, better quality of monitoring, processing & control.
